A little bit of this and, a little bit of that, makes a little bit of me.

Campfire Day Camp started today

at Tumalo State Park, on the Deschutes River.

Second year with increasing number of kids on the waiting-list and turned away.

The camp is mostly run by volunteers.

Maybe it’s your calling too, for next year.

A lot of hard work.

But, such a priceless gift to many children…

the payoff is so worth your while.

This is my fifth year as counselor.

In my group, I have eleven first-graders and one 14-year-old Counselor-in-Training.

I strive to give each child a super,

richly imaginative

summer camp experience,

a chance to sample a little bit of everything.

Before I know it, the week goes by really, really fast! Right?  Can a child growing up without toys actually be better?

Happy crafting and keep those creative juices running!

(still doesn’t do texting, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon, DiggIt…)
