Bird feeders filled to supplement the diets of wild birds. A load of canned/packaged foods gathered to Neighborhood Impact for the needy. We were on fire…
Blessed with another above-average temperature day here in the High Desert. Don’t start looking forward to a White Christmas or pull out your skis just yet.
The shortest day came. Like some, we celebrated winter solstice tonight with my peeps that are important in your life
and shared appreciation for one another.
The home was fully decorated, both in and out, with electric colored five-point star lights.
We did not meditate in darkness, light candles, nor sing chants and Pagan carols.
Nonetheless, we did welcome the birth of the sun and chase the dark away in a few outdoor beseeching fire circles
burning wood instead of Yule log, with those whom I’ve met for the first-time.
I chat, prance, feast, give thanks, dearly love my friends, and hope for peace here, now. This year and every year. Happy Solstice to all!
What did/do you do to keep the year alive?
Happy crafting and keep those creative juices running!
(still doesn’t do texting, MySpace, Twitter, StumbleUpon, DiggIt…but caved into Facebook!)
