A little bit of this and, a little bit of that, makes a little bit of me.

Symphony Sunday

Another exciting afternoon of musical magic, created for young audiences and their families, by Cascade Winds, Central Oregon’s Premier Symphonic Concert Band.

Twenty-one knitting days ’til Christmas…knitting only from stash.

I nearly flipped a lid when Joann’s had purse handles for $3.99. Wish I’m knitting bags for Christmas…I am not. Instead, this pair of 2-hour seamless gauntlets will add to the spirit of the season. They knit up quickly using worsted weight yarn. Knit them to wear whatever the weather–be it a chilly winter’s morning, afternoon, or evening. You may dress them up for formal occasions or wear them slouchy and low for just mooching around at home. Make a pair in every color, in various length. These gloves are a layering essential and in high demand.

I am knitting up a bunch first, then embellish them on-the-go with roving (handpainted/dyed by me,) floss, fabric, and beads for additional sparkles in the tops and tails.

Some are Christmas gifts.

Others will be up for sale. No selfish time for me for awhile.

Christmas is such a wonderful time for knitting! Scarves and Cowls are big this season. Me…stuck on fine-tuning newsboy cap for a friend–who is scheduled to have her melanoma removed on Wednesday. I am scared to death but do believe in the power of prayers.  Won’t you say a prayer for my friend too…a healthy being and positive outcome?

Happy crafting and keep those creative juices running!

(still doesn’t do texting, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon, DiggIt…)

    • Wonderful to hear. I believe craft comes in different forms and shapes. It’s about creating, letting your imagination runs wild. Your inspiring poetry where words come to life is ART in my book. I so look forward to your next creation 😀
