A little bit of this and, a little bit of that, makes a little bit of me.

Small Business Saturday

American Express did invent it last year as a way of 1) supporting small businesses and 2) promoting their own small business card program. From a marketing perspective, it’s a brilliant concept–they’ve literally invented a new shopping holiday. Better yet, they’ve created something that’s taken on a life of its own–even President Obama endorsed it.

If you haven’t shopped at a small business yet today, try to make it out to one tomorrow!

Shop small today and every day. Stimulate the economy. Infuse cash directly into small businesses in our community.  It’s a win-win.

By the way, shopping etsy is shopping local after all. It’s the little guys trying to sell from home–who all work so hard and charge so little.  It’s such a feel good thing to support these artists like Kristin.

65% of new jobs that have been created in the last 20 years have been from small businesses–there’s your factoid for the weekend! Happy Shopping!

Let’s build a place that encourages creative energy and friendships to grow.

Happy crafting and keep those creative juices running!

(still doesn’t do texting, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon, DiggIt…)
