A little bit of this and, a little bit of that, makes a little bit of me.

Yippity Yap. The time is ripe to take the family and friends to a local orchard.

Savor the glorious fall sunshine–before the frost tomorrow.

It’s apple picking season.

And best time to pick Barnes and Golden apples here is October.

Instead of taking the four-leg friends to a dog park, we visited an apple orchard.

Orchard in Bend, Oregon?

You betcha! And we’re so ready to collect this season’s crop.

A short 5-minute drive from home.

Remember…the bad ones have their place in baskets. The good ones come home in our boxes.

Make sure you separate them right! Kids!

Barnes is known for its attractiveness and popular mid-season culinary variety…very versatile in the kitchen, cooks to a puree.

There weren’t much Golden left to pick as we were about a week late to arrive.

We did manage to gather some of the best yellow with a red blush.

I’m glad to put everything aside and enjoyed some apple picking fun.

The afternoon got even better. More on that another time.

Amazing fall weather. Bright, sunny, warm and the colors are unbelievable. Wish you could be here!

Knitting? Yes, it’s going…did I tell you before how much I dislike stockinette stitches?

Happy crafting and keep those creative juices running!

(still doesn’t do texting, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon, DiggIt…)
