A little bit of this and, a little bit of that, makes a little bit of me.

Knitting Sheath

or belt made a job faster and easier, especially for a knitter on the go (like me!)

Put the end of one knitting needle into a holder fixed at the waist. Now the right needle is kept in position by the sheath and the knitter’s right hand is freed up to manipulate the yarn more smoothly. This method requires needles pointed at both ends. One-handed knitting is not impossible. (Agres of A Fisherman Knits has some terrific video clips showing the finger action here)

It’s great help to a faster knitter. Today we see hand-knitting as a hobby, a creative craft enjoyed in our leisure time. Not in distant past, it used to be an ongoing task, to be fitted in amongst all other chores. Families had to be kept supplied with socks, hats, and warm clothing.

Would you use one over a modern project bag?

Happy crafting and keep those creative juices running!

(still doesn’t do texting, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon, DiggIt…)
