While waiting to acquire some, I decided to play with the newly washed Romney, mohair locks, and Bluefaced Leicester (hand-dyed by me.) First, I hand-carded 2 grams each of the fibers into batt
next, spun with a Spindlewood Square Whorl mini
then, plied singles together
and came up with 38.5 yards of this yarn–translating into 642 yards per 100 grams.
There’s a lovely luster and much softer than using Romney alone!
The pattern will be released in two weeks.
For those itching to see I’ve been cooking behind the scenes, here is a sneak peek
My heart is all aflutter…absolutely in love…the one project I have been waiting for all year long!
Happy crafting and keep those creative juices running!
