A little bit of this and, a little bit of that, makes a little bit of me.

Bead Weaving Fun: Peyote

In the world of bead weaving, shape is as important as color and sparkle and engages my mind as I study its rhythms and new ideas keep tumbling through. My focus on geometric shapes–triangle, square, pentagon, hexagon, and many more–especially with peyote stitch, brings new creativity and excitement to my sculpting bead work.

The Peyote Stitch is an ancient stitch, one of the most popular off-loom stitch among contemporary beaders. It is easy to bead, yet amazingly versatile.

What will the future hold for these geometric shapes, you ask? Perhaps, they will be combined in various ways to create some elegant 3-dimensional polyhedron charms, pendants, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, brooches…sky is the limit!

Happy creating!
