A little bit of this and, a little bit of that, makes a little bit of me.

Fountain Pen Lace

Practice Makes Perfect!

I’ve been bit by the lace bug. This 60″x30″ Fountain Pen Lace flew off the US Size 7 needles last night as quickly as its cast on. It took a skein of Lana Grossa Meilenweit Mega Boots Stretch (716) and a few yards of Araucania Ranco Solid (103); embellished pointy edgings with 32 Size 10 Round and 16 Amethyst Bicone Glass beads. A word of caution, if you choose the EZ Sewn-Bind Off method, make sure you stretch out between stitches to give allowance for blocking to get a noticeable pointy edging.

To celebrate the completion of Fountain Pen, the sun came out today. It is really spring like…I’m going to take some photographs at the park…with the kids and their friend McKenley.

What’s next? I’ve been looking eagerly at Aeolian Wrap, Shipwreck Pi Shawl, a pair of Absinthe Spring socks, this flattering Santeney vest, Pioneer Raglan V-neck, and a pair of Sourwood Fingerless Mitts as soon as I saw them.

Happy creating!
