A little bit of this and, a little bit of that, makes a little bit of me.

What the heck is this knitted thangy???

Does this help? A little confection for the feet…a pair of flippant.

Have you ever been annoyed at how flip flops or sandals hurt between your toes! Annoying is an understatement…just last week, I walked barefoot on hot cement around town…THANKS, Silvia, for such a timely genius creation. This lacy flippant, not only adorable and comfy, is the solution to my aching problem. I can’t wait to show them off! One slight challenge: It would have to wait ’til I knit myself another pair first as my 12-year-old decided they are perfect for her feet!

PATTERN: <a href="

NEEDLES: ADDI Turbo Circular US #0
YARN: Noro Kureyon Sock Yarn S95
ERRATA: For small size–Round 20/22: P18, k7, p12 (not 13), k7, p16
MODIFICATION: German Twisted Cast-on. Kitchener Stitch for invisible grafting.
COMMENTS: This is an itsy bitsy tiny project. I used very little leftover from Azure…so very nice and hand-down sweet.

A delightful evening spent showing my 12-year-old the rope of knitting socks on a magic loop, cuff down. So far, she managed to do German Twisted Cast-on and ribbed Cuff (Knit 1 Purl 1)…what an ambitious and adventurous (and very impatient) gal!

Happy creating!

  1. Hi Sarah! I always see the neat stuff that you knit- and am amazed – but these are really awesome. How cute! And unique.
